Hey there! 😌
My name is Benjamim and, currently, I'm a Portugal based technical game designer.
Currently working at AudioCat, where we develop accessible audio-based games. Our audience consists mainly of visually impaired people.
I studied Computer Science for 2 years and Game Development for 3, where I took a semester abroad in Finland.
I'm also the president of the Games and Multimedia student association, as well as a member of Game Dev Lisbon, where we plan game events such as game jams and meets.
I have a massive passion for game balancing and, in general, math. I have experience in designing and developing accessible games with Unity and Unreal Engine.
Above all, I will always prioritize mental health and organization to maintain a healthy work environment.
I am a people's person and communication is very important to me. As such, I strive to learn a bit of every skill it takes to create a game. This way, it becomes easier to communicate and share ideas with colleagues.
All of the projects here are either game jams or personal projects. I have put a lot of effort into all of them, but I recognize I have muuuch to learn still ✅
Games make it possible for anyone to bring together their creative and logical sides, which has always kept me excited to not just play, but also create games ever since I was a kid.
I refuse to lose my sparkle ✨
Things I enjoy the most are: the beach, playing piano, drawing, taking daily walks and... occasionally... singing when no one's watching!
